The rippled sycamore has a beautiful grain exhibiting areas of chatoyance. The hollow form has a gently curving lower profile and a tiered upper profile. The five coved tiers gradually diminish in height and each one is demarcated with a beaded ring which has been decorated with bronze gilding paint. The foot recess has a spiral texture detail.
This piece is finished with Danish Oil and a layer of Carnauba wax, imparting a soft sheen.
