Autumn inspired large tulipwood bowl, hand decorated with basket weave effect.
This donut ring shaped bowl has a low waistline which leads into a wide convex rim. The outer two thirds of the rim have been painstakingly decorated with basket weave illusion effect, the inner third of the rim is textured and pyrographed with natural spokes separated with coloured spokes, whilst the inner bowl and underside have been left natural to show the tulipwood's complementary grain.
The rim is coloured with Indian inks in a pattern and colour reminiscent of Autumn leaves and finished with satin lacquer which imparts a soft sheen and protection. The underside of the bowl is finished with Danish Oil that enhances the natural beauty of the wood whilst protecting and nourishing it.
